The Medal Play Golf Tour visited the Ocotillo Golf Resort, December 16th. “The weather turned out great” commented tour director Blane Freytag. “The rain and cold stayed away providing a great tournament experience for the players”.
Open Division - The Open division saw tour veteran Joe White start his season with a bang. Joe played steady all day to card a 77 and the victory. Tatum Ranch winner Tom Draper was two strokes back while Denison Williams placed third.
Gold Division – Carl Thackeray nudged Al Mayhew in the Gold division by three shots to secure his first victory of the season. Matt Horner was 3rd.
Silver Division – The Silver division needed extra holes as Tony Asaro and Herm Payen were tied after regulation. The playoff went two holes before Tony secured the victory. Jerry Boysen was 3rd only a shot back.
The tour returns to action at Pebblecreek (Eagles Nest) in Goodyear on Sunday, January 20th.
