The 5th Annual Ronald McDonald House Charities Pro-Am Golf Tournament, featuring some of the nation’s top professional golfers alongside amateurs from across the Valley, is set for May 16 on the Talon and Raptor courses at Grayhawk Golf Club, 8620 E. Thompson Peak Parkway, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Presented by La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries and chaired by Kevin Robinson, a member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona board of directors and former Phoenix Police Assistant Chief, the morning shamble shotgun start is scheduled at 8:30 a.m. after registration, opening of the silent auction and breakfast.
Lunch, raffle drawing and the awards ceremony will follow the tournament.
The 2018 event raised more than $200,000 to support the mission of keeping families with sick children close and near the medical care and resources they need.
The tournament can accommodate a field of 144 golfers. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third-place teams. Registration fees are $750 for individuals. Sponsorship packages, which include foursomes, range from $3,500 for Silver to $5,000 for Gold with commensurate benefits. Specialty, non-playing sponsorships range from $1,500 to $2,500 with commensurate benefits.
Interested golfers and sponsors can register at www.rmhccnaz.org/golf. For more information, contact Leslie Religioso at 602.798.5097 or email development@rmhccnaz.org.
All funds raised support the RMHC-CNAZ mission to provide a “home-away-from-home” for families whose children are undergoing medical care in the Valley. No family is ever turned away for not being able to pay the $15 nightly fee that is asked. In 2018, more than 1,000 families and their critically ill children spent more than 17,550 nights at one of the Valley’s three Ronald McDonald Houses.
