OB Sports Golf Management appoints Tom Colceri, Vice President of Business Development

OB Sports Golf Management recently announced the appointment of Tom Colceri to the newly created corporate position of Vice President of Business Development. A native of Phoenix/Scottsdale and a long-time golf industry leader, Colceri will be responsible for the continued growth of OB Sports’ golf course management and consulting contracts throughout the United States and in selected foreign markets. Colceri will also help the company evaluate acquisition and lease opportunities, and promote the growth of OB’s subsidiary business ventures in public relations, graphic art, employment services, outsourced course accounting, HOA management and landscape services, golf courses construction and renovation, golf course brokerage, and a new fitness and lifestyle portal to be launched in coming weeks.

Prior to joining OB Sports, Colceri served a the Director of Sales for DMB Associates, Inc.’s prestigious Silverleaf Club in Scottsdale, where he was personally responsible for sales of more than $6.5 million in membership initiation fees alone and achieved the club’s financial milestone for golf memberships by reaching their membership cap of 350.

Prior to his position at Silverleaf, Colceri served on the Desert Mountain Properties executive team in a similar capacity and coordinated special projects for the six-course, six-clubhouse facility. Before his stint at Desert Mountain, Colceri was the project coordinator and owner’s representative for Quintero Golf and Country Club in Peoria. Adding to his unique experience, he was the vice president for the golf course architecture team of Graham and Panks International, which produced over 30 top courses in the Southwest alone. He also served as golf professional in his career with the Marriott Corporation at Camelback Inn and Mountain Shadows Resorts.

Colceri served on the PGA Southwest Section Board for seven years, is Past President of the Golf Industry Association, PGA National Committee Member for Communications and PR., and is currently a Golfweek Magazine Course Rater. He played collegiately on a full golf scholarship while attending Florida International University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Law/Criminal Justice. He lives in Scottsdale with his wife who is a kindergarten teacher, and their three children.
