Kyocera named Title Sponsor of Waste Management Phoenix Open Pro-Am

Hole 16 continues to grow

The 2014 Waste Management Phoenix Open Tournament Chairman Tom King announced that Kyocera has been named the title sponsor of the tournament’s Monday pro-am through 2015. The 2014 Kyocera Pro-Am will be played at 10 am on January 27th at TPC Scottsdale.

“Kyocera has been a significant sponsor of the Waste Management Phoenix Open for a number of years,” said King. “This multi-year sponsorship of the Monday pro-am takes their involvement to a new height and increases their level of corporate exposure during tournament week. We look forward to working closely with their team in an effort to make the 2014 Kyocera Pro-Am a great event.”

In addition to new sponsorships, tournament officials are pleased with how sales are shaping up for the 2014 Waste Management Phoenix Open – still almost six months away.

“Based on momentum from the 2013 event, where we enjoyed perfect weather and record-breaking crowds, combined with the anticipation of the 2015 Super Bowl, we are seeing increased corporate interest and we fully expect the 2014 tournament to be incredible,” said King.

To that end, 20 new skyboxes have been added to the 16th hole bringing the new grand total to 192. The popular Greenskeeper venue will also grow – 6-8 greenside suites will be added, this year, as well as 10 additional cabanas.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open will be played January 27 – February 2, 2014, at the TPC Scottsdale. The tournament host Thunderbirds have raised more than $80 million for charities, with more than $50 million generated since 2004. The 2014 edition will mark the 79th playing of the event, making it one of the five oldest events on the PGA TOUR (not including the major championships).
