TOURAcademy Instructor John Stahlschmidt is relocating to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida where he will oversee the day to day operations of both the PGA TOURAcademy at the World Golf Village, just outside of St. Augustine and TOURAcademy TPC Sawgrass, home of the Player’s Championship.
“This is a bittersweet move for me,” stated Stahlschmidt. “I am very excited to take on this new opportunity within our company, however I will be very sad to leave TPC Scottsdale, where I have worked for over 10 years. And, I will miss all my great clients.”
In addition to overseeing the TOURAcademy’s two marquee locations, John will also be the Director of Operations for the TOURAcademy golf school brand.
John has been with the TOURAcademy as the Head Instructor since they opened their doors at TPC Scottsdale in January of 2007. He has taught golf for over 13 years and has worked with players of all abilities from the best players in the world to rank beginners.
Stahlschmidt was recently voted by his peers as one of the best instructors in the state of Arizona – a ranking that Golf Digest publishes every two years. John is also recognized by Golf Tips magazine as a “top 25” instructor nationally.
“We are thrilled with John’s new opportunity and equally as thrilled to have him continue on as one of our favorite columnists with our readers,” stated Nancy Howard, President/Owner of Arizona Golfer. John will still continue to write his monthly columns for Arizona Golfer from his new location at TPC Sawgrass in Florida. That’s exciting to have a columnist from the east coast now.”
Congratulations John, from all of us at Arizona Golfer. We’ll miss seeing your smiling face in person however we’re very proud for you and your new opportunities. Guess all of your readers/clients will have to pay you a visit at TPC Sawgrass. Now that’s not a bad idea!!!
