LPGA Founders Cup seeking volunteers for 2014 Tournament

The LPGA Founders Cup is seeking volunteers for the 2014 LPGA Founders Cup, set to be played March 18-23 at Wildfire Golf Club at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa.

There are a variety of areas in which people can volunteer, with committee descriptions and online registration available on the Volunteer page of the Tournament Website found at www.LPGAFoundersCup.com.

All volunteers will receive a tournament golf shirt, visor or baseball hat, complimentary weekly badge to the tournament, commemorative lapel pin and one free round of golf at Wildfire Golf Club. For more information about volunteer opportunities contact Tournament Coordinator Cara Manas at Cara.Manas@lpga.com or 386.236.1441.

Entering its fourth consecutive year, the LPGA Founders Cup will be played March 18-23, 2014, at Wildfire Golf Club at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa. This full-field, four-day event features a $1.5 million purse, with $225,000 going to the champion. Stacy Lewis took over the World No. 1 title after winning the 2013 RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup.

The tournament was established to honor the 13 original Founders of the LPGA Tour, as well as to help provide a future for the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program, which has received more than $1.5 million from tournament proceeds in the last three years.
