Aleks Mikalacki fired rounds of 76-82—158 in rolling to a 12-shot win in the Boys 15-19 division at Palm Valley Golf Club. With an 8-shot lead over Jake Nelson, Mikalacki cruised in a final round highlighted by birdies at the fifth and seventh holes. Nelson’s only mistake through the first 10 holes of the final round was a double bogey at the fourth and he had closed the margin to five shots. Nelson finished second with scores of 84-86—170.

Ashley Menne came from three shots back with only five holes to play to earn a 2-shot victory in the Girls 14-and-Under division at Palm Valley Golf Club. After a double bogey at 13, Menne fell three shots behind Toni St. John, but she went on to make par on four of the last five holes to apply the pressure. Menne shot 83-83—166 while St. John 82-86—168 for sole possession of second place. Madeline Laux shot 83-87—170 to take third place.

Aidan Daly fired rounds of 84-75—159 to win a two-player duel in the Boys 13-14 division by six shots over Jack Whisler. Daly trailed Whisler by two shots heading into the final round and led off the final round with a birdie at the first hole to tie the match. Daly would take the lead at No. 3. He carried a 1-shot lead to the closing nine and left no openings for Whisler. Daly played the back nine in even-par and that included a birdie at the last hole. Whisler finished 82-83—165.

 GOLFWEEK Junior Tour aims to provide junior golfers with regular competitive tournaments conducted in a professional manner at high quality venues across the western United States. Their goal is to conduct junior events, which garner high visibility and national exposure through the various media outlets provided by GOLFWEEK. GJT strives to bring tournaments to players of different regions so as to allow them to participate in many events, which are of close proximity yet still part of the national tour. GJT also aims to provide players with events that are ranked by Junior Golf Scoreboard, GOLFWEEK and the American Junior Golf Association. Golfweek Junior Tour Southwest is operated locally by Arizona Junior Golf.
