“We thought it would be fitting to give back to the very people that made ASU Karsten Golf Club a success for the last 25 years,” said Director of Golf Daryl Crawford. “An impressive list of great champions have walked these fairways during that time. We’re proud to have also provided a championship experience for daily fee golfers and the many participants of fundraising events that continue to choose our venue.”

ASU Karsten Golf Club – which first opened on September 15, 1989 – has hosted more than 1 million rounds of golf on the 7,002-yard, par-70 Pete Dye-designed course, including 52,000 by the Arizona State University’s renowned golf teams. As their home course, the facility has served as a key component of success for one of the strongest men’s and women’s collegiate golf programs in the country. The ASU Golf Team continues to benefit from the golf course and on-site training facility in many ways. Chief among them, it allows for a comprehensive and convenient place for the players to sharpen their game.  And, it serves as a strong recruiting tool for top college-bound players.

All of this has led to decades of success for the team. ASU is the first college program to win both the Men’s and Women’s NCAA championships in the same season. They remain nationally ranked year after year, and continually produce All-American and future PGA and LPGA Tour stars. A few players include LPGA Hall of Famer Joanne Carner, the late Heather Farr, Grace Park, Azahara Munoz, Anna Nordqvist, Billy Mayfair, Paul Casey and five-time Major Champion, Phil Mickelson.
