Sedona Golf Resort earns Rolling Out the Green Carpet™ certification from National Women’s Golf Alliance

Sedona Golf Resort recently earned a Four-Star Rolling Out the Green Carpet™ certification from the National Women’s Golf Alliance (NWGA). The certification assesses golf facilities on several standards that make the facility warm and welcoming to women.

“We’re thrilled to earn this distinction,” said Jeremy Hayman, General Manager of Sedona Golf Resort. “Golf is a game for a lifetime that everyone can enjoy. This award just makes it easier for ladies to find golf facilities that embrace their participation in the game, and we’re proud to be considered one of those clubs.”

During the assessment process, a NWGA evaluator plays a round of golf to rank the facility on five key areas of focus. Sedona Golf Resort scored: 55 percent for Golf Course Playability; 100 percent for Customer Service; 82 percent for Golf Course Amenities; 80 percent for Facility Amenities and 87 percent for Golf Programs for Women.  Facilities that achieve a score of 80 percent or higher in at least three of the five areas receive the certification.

“We congratulate the Sedona Golf Resort on earning Four Stars for Rolling Out the Green Carpet™ for women golfers,” said Debbie Waitkus, a founding partner of NWGA and president of Golf for Cause. “Sedona Golf Resort loves the ladies! Excelling in customer service, the resort is a welcoming facility with strong programming for women.”

Located in the Arizona’s stunning red rock country, Sedona Golf Resort is widely considered to feature one of public golf’s most eye-catching rounds of golf. The Gary Panks-designed, par-71 golf course measures to 6,646-yard as it unfolds up, down, through and around some of the most intriguing country on the planet. Panks carefully groomed the golf course to accentuate natural slopes and plunging arroyos inherent to the property. Its aesthetic charm and challenge has led to a four-star rating from Golf Digest as well as other distinctions. For more information, call 928.284.9409 or visit www.sedonagolfresort.com.
