Arcis Golf revamps popular Arizona practice facility

East Valley golfers are going to enjoy practicing this winter even more than usual at Kokopelli Golf Club, now that the Phoenix area’s premier lighted golf facility has completely renovated its range.

Arcis Golf, which owns and operates the popular 18-hole golf course complex in Gilbert, has completed a four-month range remodeling project that features an expanded grass surface, entirely re-sodded with Bermuda and overseeded with winter rye, that gives Kokopelli 22,000 square feet of hitting space.

Another key element to the range redesign is the newly leveled all-grass landing area that better replicates specific shot results and more realistic visuals for target lines. And for those occasional frosty mornings, artificial turf bays have been reinstalled at the back of the hitting area.

Already known as the East Valley’s ideal place for “Lessons Under The Lights,” Kokopelli is planning to use its new facility for a variety of programs, including a “Family Nights” series that would be an extension of the highly successful Practice, Learn & Play (PLP) Program. Members of the PLP Program get unlimited access to the range and free golf on the course after 3 p.m. weekdays.
