LPGA opens Scottsdale office

Sixth satellite office puts LPGA in the heart of golfer’s paradise and the home of the JTBC Founders Cup

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced the opening of a permanent office in Scottsdale to run the JTBC Founders Cup and promote women’s golf in one of the sports premiere US locations.

“The new office lets us do all tournament planning for the JTBC Founders Cup and allows our team to become more involved in the Scottsdale/Phoenix golfing and business community year round,” said Scott Wood, Tournament Director. “We have a great home base to conduct business and a place that really showcases the LPGA and Founders Cup.”

The new office is the home base for Wood, Tracy Hupko, Sales & Marketing Manager, Taylor Adams, Tournament Coordinator and Dustin Kaneoya, Director of Operations.

The 6th annual JTBC Founders Cup is slated for March 14-20, 2016 at Wildfire Golf Club at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge. Last year 19-year-old rookie Hyo Joo Kim took the title. The event features a $1.5 million purse. The Founders Cup was created to honor the 13 original founders of the LPGA. It has also raised more than $3 million for the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program.

The LPGA is making Scottsdale a permanent home, securing a multi-year lease on its new offices.

“There is a lot of growth opportunity within the Scottsdale/Phoenix area, and we are excited to see what the future holds and be a part of it,” Wood said.

Tickets and hospitality packages for the JTBC Founders Cup are available at www.LPGAFoundersCup.com or by calling the tournament office at 386.236.1369. Volunteer registrations are being accepted as well.
