Southwest Section PGA Virtual Helicopter Ball-Drop, June 11th

The PGA Southwest Section is hosting a unique event benefiting two Phoenix-based charities, the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Arizona and Nevada chapters of Special Olympics and the PGA Southwest Section Foundation.

The Virtual Helicopter Ball-Drop will take place on Friday, June 11, 2010 as part of the Arizona Open Green Day Charity Tournament. The evening culminates with the innovative animation and dinner at Harold’s Restaurant in Cave Creek. Those unable to attend will be able to participate by viewing the Ball-Drop live, via web-link. This dynamic event will precede the state’s second longest running professional tournament, the 66th Arizona Open. The 54-hole stroke play championship will be conducted at Desert Mountain’s Apache Course from June 17-19.

The PGA Southwest Section and its production partner, GiveThroughGolf.com are selling golf balls for $20 each. The Grand Prize winner will receive a 2010 Lexus! 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners will take home other great prizes.
