Jeff Schwinkendorf to lead OB Sports’ Casa Verde Golf Construction division

VP, Construction & Renovation brings international PGA Tour project management experience

OB Sports Golf Management announced the hiring of Jeff Schwinkendorf as Vice President of Construction & Renovation for its Casa Verde Golf Construction division. Schwinkendorf joins OB Sports following two years at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas where he served as Project Manager for the construction of the venue that will host the PGA Tour’s annual AT&T Byron Nelson Classic, beginning no later than 2019.

“Jeff’s experience with projects of all sizes and magnitude will help us continue to grow our renovation and construction division,” said Luke Beardmore, Senior Vice President of Agronomy, Construction & Landscape at OB Sports. “OB Sports and Casa Verde Golf have been industry-leaders in golf course construction and development dating back to 1972. We really needed someone dedicated to this division on a full-time basis, and Jeff’s personal and professional skills are perfect for this role, and our team. We are looking forward to what lies ahead.”

At Trinity Forest Golf Club, Schwinkendorf supervised the construction and completion of the 18-hole championship golf course, 9-hole par 3 course, short game area, practice range and maintenance facility, among other site buildings and infrastructure. It will serve as the home golf course for the Southern Methodist University men’s and women’s golf teams. Jeff also spearheaded significant project coordination and planning initiatives with Dallas city officials to address all public and environmental sensitivities.

Prior to Dallas, Schwinkendorf worked as Project Manager and Senior Project Manager for multiple golf projects in China. He was responsible for project pre-construction and planning, as well as all on-site daily construction activity and oversight. This included acting as the on-site liaison for the golf course architect, contractor and Chinese ownership.

Before working internationally, Schwinkendorf worked for the PGA Tour as overall project manager and design associate for the major reconstruction of the golf course and clubhouse at TPC Potomac, formerly known as TPC Avenel. He was responsible for all ongoing interactions with local government agencies, planning and permitting, day-to-day project oversight and final closeout. The course hosted the Champions Tour’s Senior Players Championship in 2010, and also has been designated as host venue for Tiger Woods’ Quicken Loans National tournament beginning in 2017.
