Albert Murdock offers golf instruction at Dobson Ranch Golf Club

Albert Murdock, a 30-year member of the PGA of America and former President of the Southwest Section PGA, is offering full-time golf instruction out of Dobson Ranch Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona.

The Murdock Golf Academy offers a wide range of instruction for golfers of all skill levels – including lessons for juniors, adults, female golfers and even group instruction.

Murdock is using the new K-VEST technology, an innovative teaching tool that uses wireless technology to capture and measure physical motion and identify swing faults.

K-VEST uses three wireless sensors that are strategically placed on the golfer’s hip, shoulders and hands that create instant live 3D and animation of the golf swing. The instructor simply records a swing, and within seconds a complete 3D swing is generated, allowing the instructor to quickly analyze the swing and identify swing faults.

“This is pretty amazing technology that is a great tool to help in golf instruction,” Murdock said.  “It has a fantastic interactive element, but the best thing is the instant feedback, so the teacher and student can get instant results.  Students using K-VEST don’t just improve their game, they understand why they are improving, and that’s important.”

Murdock has studied under some of the best instructors in America and was an instructor for eight years at ASU’s Sun Devil Golf Camp and the Stanford Golf Camp. He is an accomplished player, having won the Southwest Section Championship, and has played in several PGA TOUR events. Throughout his career Murdock has coached several players on the Nationwide Tour and Canadian Tour, and has helped several junior players to move on to major college programs, including Wichita State, San Jose State, Kansas and Boise State.
