Tommy’s Honour is a movie to delight golfers and non-golfers alike

Legacy of the Links is happy to support the BAFTA award winning movie, Tommy’s Honour, that was released in cinemas nationwide in the United States over this past Easter weekend. Both Taba Dale and Kevin McGrath (co-founders of Legacy of the Links) along with several friends attended a screening at a local Scottsdale theater recently and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the film that chronicles the challenging relationship between Old Tom Morris and his son Tommy, Jr., the dynamic father-son duo that ushered in the modern game of golf in the late 1800’s.

Filmed on location in Scotland, the Home of Golf, this movie will delight both golfers and non-golfers alike. It is a powerful and poignant story of love, class differences and an insight into how golf was played over a century and a half ago. The casting and costumes were magnificent and the superb directing by Jason Connery, son of famed actor, Sean Connery, and a passionate golfer like his father, has resulted in a truly authentic cinematic achievement. We strongly urge you to go see Tommy’s Honour while it is on general release and we are sure that you will not be disappointed.
