Oro Valley Community Center has lots to offer

Enjoy the majestic desert setting of the El Conquistadors in the heart of Oro Valley

El Conquistador Golf and Tennis located at the Oro Valley Community Center has lots to offer: fitness classes, yoga, aquatics, a great place to dine, tennis and of course GOLF. El Conquistador, a Troon managed property, Matches the best of two worlds; high quality, daily fee golf with an exceptional member experience. El Conquistador was designed by acclaimed architects Greg Nash and Jeff Hardin in 1982. The 36 holes, along with a 52,000 square-foot facility were purchased in 2015 by the Town of Oro Valley and the restoration has begun. Oro Valley has invested over three million dollars to date on the community center, tennis facilities, golf courses and the Overlook restaurant with plans for additional re-investment in the future.

The Conquistador and Canada courses feature two distinct and challenging experiences, matching elements of the high desert with the friendly supple expanse of a more traditional layout. El Conquistador Golf and Tennis has been the place to play in Oro Valley for decades.

The golf course quality and considerable improvements have been led by Superintendent Tyler Rasmussen. Tyler and his team completed the monumental task of transitioning the greens on the Conquistador course from worn and tired Bermuda to lush and receptive Bent Grass this past year. The course agronomy team has also re-invigorated the existing Bermuda greens on the Canada course to offer two exceptional yet varied putting surfaces for the public and the El Conquistador members.
