We-Ko-Pa Golf Club hosts fourth annual Yavapai Indian Foundation Charity Golf Event

We-Ko-Pa Golf Club recently announced they will host the fourth annual Yavapai Indian Foundation Charity Golf Event on the award-winning Saguaro course. The event is scheduled for December 10, 2018. Additionally, We-Ko-Pa Golf Club will host a no-limit Texas Hold’em poker tournament the day prior to the golf outing on December 9, 2018. Event proceeds will provide philanthropic assistance to the Yavapai Nation and its people in an effort to preserve the Yavapai heritage, culture and language.

“Golf is an enormous part of our community and – apart from the revenue streams – gives us a sense of pride and community involvement,” said Owen Doka, assistant general manager of We-Ko-Pa Golf Club and former Tribal Council member of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. “This year – due to the incredible success of past tournaments – we’re growing our event by hosting a poker tournament in addition to golf which will involve some of the other enterprises at the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. We’re excited to continue this event and provide assistance to our communities.”

The golf tournament begins with a 10am shotgun start and includes lunch and awards banquet to follow. Participation is limited to the first 36 foursomes playing in a four-person scramble format. Entry fees are $800 per foursome or $250 per individual. Several sponsorship opportunities are also available including title sponsor, supporting sponsor, and hole sponsors.

The no-limit Texas Hold’em poker tournament will be held Sunday, December 9th beginning at 2:15pm in the Fort McDowell Casino poker room. The buy-in fee will be $50.
