2018 Troon Challenge National Finals concludes in Scottsdale

Troon Challenge 2018 Winners - Wiscombe and Sikkila and Olberding and Blair

The 2018 Troon Challenge National Finals presented by Callaway Golf® recently concluded at Troon North Golf Club with participants competing on the Pinnacle and Monument Courses. Sixty-five, two-person teams represented their home clubs in the National Finals and competed in both Gross and Net Divisions. 

In the Gross Division, the team of Colin Olberding and Scott Blair from Shadow Hills Golf Club in Indio, California shot rounds of 63-62 (125) to finish in first place. In the Net Division, the team of Brian Wiscombe and Denny Sikkila representing Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona shot rounds of 63-61 (124) to win the Net Division. 

The annual Troon Challenge is Troon’s largest amateur golf event, attracting more than 1,600 competitors in 2018. Two-person teams competed and qualified in both net and gross divisions at regional host sites throughout the country since April for a chance to play in Scottsdale and represent their home club in the Troon Challenge National Finals.

The 2018 Troon Challenge was presented by Callaway Golf, along with supporting sponsors that included Experience Scottsdale, Pepsi, Ship Sticks, AHEAD, Golf Genius, AMPD and Precision Pro. Ship Sticks was a preferred partner and simplified the way Finalists traveled to Scottsdale with their clubs. Finalists received a special discount offer from Ship Sticks to ship their clubs to Scottsdale.
