Phoenix Country Club named a Platinum Club of America

Phoenix Country Club in Phoenix, Arizona has been named as a “Top 150 Platinum Club of America” by the Club Leaders Forum, the preeminent consulting source in the private club industry and publisher of The Forum magazine. Phoenix Country Club placed No.129 on the prestigious listing of the Top 150 Country Clubs. 

Platinum Clubs of America status in the private club industry has been the most revered since the franchise was established in 1997. Recognizing the top 5 percent of private clubs in the nation, as selected by club managers, presidents and owners, the Platinum Clubs of America vote is taken in the fall of even years. Platinum Club status is awarded to clubs in five categories: country club, golf club, city club, athletic club, and yacht club. Managed by Troon Privé, Phoenix Country Club was founded in 1899 and has hosted many of the city’s most influential people throughout its 120 year history. The club’s 18-hole golf course was originally designed by Harry Collis, with a 2002 redesign by Tom Lehman and John Fought. The club hosted the Phoenix Open golf tournament from 1932 through 1986 and today hosts the PGA TOUR Champions’ Charles Schwab Cup. In addition to golf, other world-class amenities include a beautiful clubhouse, a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness center, formal and casual dining options, a tennis complex with ten Hard Courts, and four Junior QuickStart courts, three swimming pools, men and women’s locker facilities, and a barbershop with two full-time barbers on staff.
