Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona will host the Arizona inaugural adult Drive, Chip and Putt competition in the Tee2Green Challenge, April 12-13. With the Tee2Green Challenge amateur golfers have three drives, three chips and three putts to post a “score.”

Participants total score will consist of an accumulation of 3 drives, 3 chips, and 3 putts. The longer the drives, the closer the chips, and the closer the putts will earn more points. Drive on a 40-yard wide fairway, Chip from roughly 25 yards, and Putt from 10, 20 and 30 feet as part of the competition. The first-place winner will be awarded golf for four at Pebble Beach (in the form of a $2500 gift card), while second place will win a Traeger Grill. Places three through fifteen will win a dozen Titleist Pro-V1 Balls.

“We are excited to kick off our Arizona Tee2Green series at Longbow Golf Club and with Troon Golf,” states Bucky Westfall, Tee2Green Challenge President. “This adult drive, chip and putt competition creates a fun and competitive atmosphere that is unique to the golf industry. Plus, who doesn’t want a chance to win golf at Pebble Beach?”

The cost to participate is $85 per player. Participants can only register online for the Tee2Green Challenge at www.tee2greenchallenge.com and those who utilize promo code “AGA” will save $35 off the entry fee.

“The Tee2Green Challenge will give golfers a chance to compete in a fun format that will test their putting, chipping and driving skills,” said Bob McNichols, developer of Longbow Business Park and Golf Club. “The great thing about this fun new event is that it will only take about 20 minutes for each contestant to complete the challenge!”

Longbow Golf Club, managed by Troon Golf, is certainly no stranger to hosting competitive and championship events. This popular East Valley gem has played host for sixteen years to the AJGA PING Heather Farr Classic (returning April 19-21), for seven years to the Visit Mesa Notre Dame Clover Cup (hosted by Norte Dame University Women’s Golf), four times to the LPGA Symetra Tour Gateway Classic, multiple LPGA Founder’s Cup Qualifying rounds, Dreamchasers PGA Tour, as well as multiple tournaments for the USGA, NCAA, NJCAA, high school, junior golf, US Kids Golf and The First Tee. Longbow Golf Club is home to the Fisher Bryan Golf Academy, offering professional golf instruction and coaching to players of all ages.

In addition to being a hub for numerous charity and community golf events, Longbow Golf Club continues to be on the cutting edge of growing the game and making golf more fun to play. The First Tee of Phoenix at Longbow welcomes hundreds of youth and uses golf as a platform to build character and life-skills. For the more adventurous players the Longbow GolfBoard, a popular single rider vehicle to “surf the turf” around the golf course, is available which can be included in the fee for the round of golf.

Longbow Golf Club originally opened in November 1997 and is named after the Apache Longbow Helicopter, which still is built right across the street at the Boeing Company. McNichols purchased the club in 2001 and commissioned a course renovation in 2003, led by original course architect Ken Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh’s second edition of Longbow exceeded the design and playability of prior routing and continues to impress.

The Longbow Golf Club contemporary clubhouse features a spacious outdoor event patio with fans, heaters, misters, outdoor kitchen and bar, enormous patio fireplace, and a well-appointed golf shop. The Grille at Longbow Golf Club boasts mountain and golf course views and has been honored as one of the “Best 19th Holes in The East Valley” by the East Valley Tribune.
