StoneRidge Golf Course in Prescott Valley chosen as National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Tournament site

StoneRidge Golf Course in Prescott, Arizona has been selected as a site for the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament being held on Saturday, September 11, 2010, will be the 2nd year at StoneRidge.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation was created to lead a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the nonprofit foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers.

In 2004, the first Fallen Firefighters Memorial Golf Tournament was held to raise awareness and to help sustain the programs of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Now in its
seventh year, the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Golf has grown to include over 45 regional golf tournaments.
