ASU Karsten Golf Course named one of the Best Campus Courses in the Country

The ASU Karsten Golf Course was named one of the Best Campus Courses in the Country by Golfweek MagazineGolfweek Architecture Editor Bradley Klien recently ranked the Top 30 Collegiate Courses and placed ASU Karsten 29th on the list. The Course at Yale in New Haven, CN. was the top ranked course on Klien’s list followed by Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, MA. To qualify for Golfweek’s Best Campus Course list, a course must be part of a school’s recreational life in terms of preferential access for students, faculty and alumni.

“We’re thrilled to be part of Golfweek’s list of Best Campus Courses,” said ASU Karsten Director of Golf Daryl Crawford. “Our superintendent Tom Regan and his staff do an incredible job of caring for this Pete Dye-designed golf course.”

ASU Karsten Golf Course is a 7,002-yard, par-70 classic Pete Dye design reminiscent of a Scottish links course. Since opening in 1989, the course has attracted the attention of prominent NCAA golf events and coveted tournaments such as the Phoenix Thunderbirds and PING Invitational. Managed by Lyon Golf, ASU Karsten Golf Course is also home to the Arizona State University men’s and women’s NCAA golf teams, both multiple national championship winners.
