West Valley Amateur Championship took place at Raven at Verrado and Trilogy at Vistancia golf clubs

On December 11th & 12th 2010, the West Valley Amateur Championship was contested at the beautiful Raven at Verrado and Trilogy at Vistancia Golf Clubs. The competition was fierce as the players enjoyed great weather but two challenging courses.

In the Championship Flight Troy Anderson fired the tournament’s lowest score (72) to secure victory over Stephen Motte and third place finisher Jon Campbell. Jim Brady took home the low net honors with a fine 73/70 of his own on Sunday.

The Nicklaus Flight was even more heated as Kevin Piska and Roland Gustafson needed extra holes to determine the gross champion. Piska outlasted Gustafson to bring home the trophy! As for the net winner, Scott Tarone posted a three shot victory over runner-up Craig Blanchard,

Not to be outdone, the Palmer Flight offered some fireworks of it’s own. Walt Camping cruised to victory with an impressive low gross score of 162 but the net championship came down to a three-way playoff! Fred Hatfield, Rafael Carmona and Edward Crow all ended up with 148 totals but it was Hatfield proving victorious in the extra hole session.

Congratulations to all that participated and we look forward to seeing you next year for the 2011 Championship. Tournament information and registration will be available in summer 2011, so keep your eyes open and your game sharp!
