Detective Gary Fuller Memorial Golf Tournament set for March 12th

The Detective Gary Fuller Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. shotgun start, on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Golf Club @ Johnson Ranch in Queen Creek, and is being co-presented by the Arizona Homicide Investigators Association (AHIA) and the Chandler Police Department.

The tournament is a 4-person scramble format with check-in at 10am. Cost is $90 per person/$360 per foursome, inclusive of green fee, cart w/GPS, range balls, goodie bag and dinner. Awards ceremony, raffle and silent action follows the tournament. Additional dinner tickets for non-players may be purchased for $10 each.

Prizes will be awarded to winning foursome, closest to the pin, longest drive, longest putt and hole-in-one contests.

Detective Fuller was a longtime member of the Chandler Police Department assigned to the Robbery/Homicide detail, as well as a longtime member of AHIA.  He passed away in November, 2010, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Donations will be made from the proceeds to the Fuller family and to help fund additional research into finding a cure for pancreatic cancer.
