Third annual Marilynn Smith Charity Golf Classic, September 12th

The third annual Marilynn Smith LPGA Charity Golf Classic will be played September12th at Tuscany Falls Golf Course. Thirty-one LPGA professionals will be paired with 124 men and women amateurs in an 8am shotgun scramble format.

The 2010 tournament raised $48,000 for the Marilynn Smith Golf Scholarship Fund, which helps young women attend college. This year’s goal is to provide ten $10,000 scholarships through the generosity of donors and participants.

Entry fee is $175 and includes golf with an LPGA pro, an on-the-run breakfast, an awards luncheon with live and silent auctions and a goodie bag full of surprises. World and LPGA Hall of Famer JoAnne Carner is the participating honoree. The Founding Honoree is Louise Suggs, World and LPGA Hall of Famer.
