The Boulders announces new teaching professional

New women’s golf programs scheduled for upcoming season

The Boulders Resort and Golden Door® Spa, Arizona’s only “Platinum Medal” winning golf course, announced the arrival of new golf professional, Jean Ashley Crawford. In her position, Crawford will be sharing responsibilities for the development and implementation of the Boulders Golf Academy in addition to other private instruction programs for resort guests and club members hosted at the resort’s championship courses. Crawford will be one of the four seasoned teaching professionals including Donald Crawley, Geoffrey Smith, and Judith Roer. Crawford also plans new golf programs, specifically designed for women, for the upcoming season.

Jean brings an outstanding background to her position including a past national women’s championship and teaching instruction at two nationally acclaimed golf schools. As one of the most well-respected women in her field, Crawford’s prized accolades include former United States Amateur Champion (twice runner-up), Captain of the United States Curtis Cup Team, Curtis Cup Playing Member (on three separate occasions), winner in the Kansas Golf Hall of Fame, and Class A LPGA Member. Crawford also served on the USGA Women’s Committee.

Her background and experience includes John Jacob’s Golf Schools; Greenbrier Hotel’s Sam Snead Golf Academy and Golf Simplified Golf Schools.
