First annual Knock-Out Parkinson’s Charity Golf Tournament set for December 9th

The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute announced their first annual “Knock-Out Parkinson’s Charity Golf Tournament” is set for Friday, December 9, 2011. This event will be held at the prestigious Gainey Ranch Golf Club and will be followed by a reception, dinner, dance, and silent auction. 

Since 1997, the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center has been on an unparalleled mission to partner with the community to offer treatment, research, and education that does not discriminate on the ability of patients and families to pay for services; thus, the Parkinson’s afflicted population is given the opportunity to foster the best possible quality of life and are provided unwavering guidance in the face of uncertainty. Participation and support of the cause can be accomplished on a variety of levels, which include: sponsorship levels, registration of a golfing foursome, volunteerism, and donations. This event is affiliated with the Parkinson’s Network of Arizona, which is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization; therefore, all contributions are tax-deductible. 

Deadline for registration is Wednesday, December 7, 2011 for a cost of $225; however, golfers who register before November 18, 2011 are offered a lowered fee of $200. The golf fee includes:  box lunch from Jersey Mike’s, green/cart fees, full use of practice facility, golf club bag tag, divot tool, tees, ball markers, goody bag, golf shirt, and dinner/dance. Additional guests for the reception following the event are welcome for a nominal cost of $50 per person.
