Come ‘Dine With Your Dog’ and support the Animal Assisted Therapy Program at Phoenix Children’s Hospital

They say that every dog has its day. This year it’s on April 21st – the 5th Annual “Dine With Your Dog” event that benefits the Animal Assisted Therapy Program at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

You won’t want to miss this “dog day afternoon” of food and fun. Mingle with fellow animal lovers and their pets, pose for photos with your pooch, and enjoy the “catwalk” with dogs modeling the latest in canine couture.

Each day at Phoenix Children’s, our four-legged friends make their own rounds visiting with patients and families. Research shows that patients’ interaction with animals provides positive physical and emotional benefits; lowering blood pressure, heart rate and anxiety, as well as reducing stress. Our pet therapy dogs also help our patients with rehabilitation, and of course, provide the unconditional love that only a dog can.

The Animal Assisted Therapy Program at Phoenix Children’s is funded solely through philanthropy and events like Dine With Your Dog. This year’s presenting sponsor is PetSmart.

Tickets are $100 before March 15th and $125 after and include one leashed dog and their well-behaved owner.

On April 21st the Sniff ‘n Greet begins at 5 p.m. at the PERA Club at 1 E. Continental Drive, Tempe, AZ.
