Upcoming JGAA Tournaments and Rules Clinics

The Junior Golf Association of Arizona offers a full slate of summer tournaments throughout the state. Full membership in the JGAA is open to all boys and girls who are at least 8 years old and have not reached their 19th birthday or entered college. Membership is calendar-based membership and good until the end of 2012. Membership is $70 and required for participation in JGAA tournaments.

Upcoming JGAA tournaments include: Yuma Junior Championship at Desert Hills Golf Course, May 19-20; Tucson City Junior Championship at Randolph Golf Complex, May 30-31; Antigua Milt Coggins Stroke Play Championship at Encanto Golf Course and Maryvale Golf Course, June 6-8.; Thunderbird Junior Classic at Biltmore Country Club, June 13-14; Mesa City Junior Championship/Jr. World Qualifier #1 at Dobson Ranch Golf Club and Viewpoint Golf Resort, June 21-22.

JGAA Members must attend a JGAA Rules Clinic and pass the online JGAA Rules Quiz to be eligible to compete in summer tournaments. Rules Clinics in May will be held at Cave Creek Golf Club, Starfire Golf Club, Dobson Ranch Golf Club, Desert Hills Golf Club, ASU Karsten Golf Course and Randolph Golf Course. 

Also new for 2012, the JGAA Boys Golf Club in partnership with Arizona Junior Golf will be offering FREE clinics at select Boys Golf Club events for junior golfers. The June 9th Boys Golf Club Father/Son at Palm Valley Golf Club will have a FREE clinic at the event. To sign-up please contact the JGAA office.
