Hardy, Ji and Novilla earn medalist honors at TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier at ASU Karsten Golf Course

Chad Hardy of Mesa, AZ., recorded a 66 and claimed medalist honors at the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier at ASU Karsten Golf Course. In the Girls Division, Rong Ji of Rancho Santa Fe, CA., and Nina Alexis Novilla of Carson, CA., medaled after shooting a 73.

Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier was an 18-hole stroke play event. The field featured 72 boys and 28 girls, ages 12-18, from six states. The Boys Division played the par-70 course at 6,858 yards, while the Girls Division played the course at 5,927 yards.

TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifiers give juniors an opportunity to “play their way in” to coinciding AJGA Open tournaments or earn Performance Stars for a future event. The TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier Series offers opportunities for AJGA juniors at approximately 50 AJGA Open events.

Hardy earned Boys Division medalist honors by carding a 66. The following players earned entry into the subsequent PING Phoenix Junior at ASU Karsten: Eugene Wackerbarth of Clyde Hill, WA., James Russo of Scottsdale, AZ., Michael Sheahan of Marietta, GA., Trueman Park of Chandler, AZ., Tyler Kathrineberg of Mesa, AZ., Jeffrey Miller of Phoenix, AZ., Christopher Eckes of Fort Smith, AK., Zi Han She of Shantou, China, and Andrew Beckler of Topeka, KS.

In the Girls Division, Ji and Novilla medaled after shooting a 73. Also qualifying was Natassja Meredith of Tucson, AZ., and Jade Siphomsay of Rancho
