Larry Fitzgerald, Patrick Peterson to play in JTBC Founders Cup Wednesday Pro-Am on March 18

Chicago bears kicker Robbie Gould, Cardinals stars Drew Stanton and Andre Roberts also will participate

Tournament Director Drew Blass announced that Arizona Cardinals stars Larry Fitzgerald and Patrick Peterson have committed to play in the JTBC Founders Cup Pro-Am, scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 at Wildfire Golf Club.

Additionally, Chicago Bears All-Pro kicker Robbie Gould will be in the field, along with Arizona Cardinals players Drew Stanton, Andre Roberts and Bradley Sowell.

“The Pro-Am is always a huge hit for the fans, and now it got even better for this year,” Blass said. “We are thrilled to have Larry and Patrick join us this year, along with Robbie, Drew, Andre and Bradley. We are expecting big crowds and a big spike in ticket sales for Wednesday.”

The Pro-Am features groups of four playing with two LPGA Tour pro’s, one for each nine, and will begin with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. A complete field with all of the celebrities and pros will be announced on Tuesday, March 17.

Entering its fifth consecutive year, the JTBC Founders Cup will be played March 17-22, 2015, at Wildfire Golf Club at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa. This full-field, four-day event will be televised live on The Golf Channel all four days and features a $1.5 million purse, with $225,000 going to the champion. Karrie Webb is a two-time Founders Cup champion, winning last year’s tournament as well as the inaugural RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup tournament in 2011. Stacy Lewis took over the World No. 1 title after winning the 2013 RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup, while two-time Rolex Player of the Year winner Yani Tseng captured the title in 2012. The tournament was established to honor the 13 original Founders of the LPGA Tour, as well as to help provide a future for the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program, which has received more than $2 million from tournament proceeds in the last four years. For more information about the JTBC Founders Cup or to purchase tickets, go to www.LPGAFoundersCup.com.
