Troon® is excited to announce a new Phoenix/Scottsdale area summer series of events titled the Troon Summer Series, presented by Troon Golf, Park Hyatt Aviara Resort and Aviara Golf Club. Eighteen, nine-hole events will be held throughout the summer at Troon facilities, including the likes of Troon North Golf Club, The Boulders, Westin Kierland Golf Club, The Phoenician, Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club, Ocotillo Golf Resort and more.

“The Troon Summer Series gives area golfers a chance to slip out after work, sneak in a quick nine-hole event and experience Troon Golf at some amazing courses throughout the Valley of the Sun,” stated Kris Strauss, vice president, sales and marketing, Troon. “Best of all, the series will feature a ‘Fed Ex Cup-style’ points structure whereby participants earn points for the events they play in and how they place.”

The winning point earner at the end of the Troon Summer Series will be awarded a cool getaway to Park Hyatt Aviara Resort and Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad, CA. Meaning the more golfers play, the more chances they have of earning points towards a vacation to Park Hyatt Aviara Resort. The Series kicks off June 3 and runs through September 9, 2015 with tee times for each event starting at 4 pm.  

The format for each event is a unique Individual Net Stableford, where players earn points for making pars or birdies and are deducted points for making bogies and double bogies. Those without a handicap are welcome to participate as well in a gross flight. Event entry fees range from $30 to $40 and include green fee, cart, practice balls prior to play, and a daily prize fund. Additionally, many host venues will be including a complimentary post round beverage. Lower entry fees are offered to Troon Cardholders.
