Top Arizona teacher launches high performance junior coaching program

Former Southwest Section PGA of America Teacher of the Year and Youth Player Development award winner Craig Hocknull will begin the spring semester of his Outback Junior Golf Team on February 20. The 15 week schedule will include high-level coaching from Hocknull, who is one of Arizona’s top teachers ranked by Golf Digest Magazine, and in partnership with fellow Aussie Scott Adland, a former touring professional and player performance coach.

The Saturday afternoon program will also include a junior practice membership to the beautiful Legacy Golf Club in Phoenix. Junior coaches will have access to the high-tech Golf Channel Academy’s Performance Center which includes Pro V1 practice golf balls for short game work, Trackman launch monitors, fitness training equipment and mental game coaching. 

The Legacy Golf Club will be hosting a “Meet the Coaches” Day at 2 PM on Saturday, February 13. Participants will also be able to take a tour of the facility. You can register for this free orientation at www.outbackjunior.com.

The 15 week / 60 hour semester will run from February 20 - June 4 and will cost $2,100 with a $600 semester discount going to the first 10 students enrolled. The Saturday afternoon program will run from 2 PM to 6 PM each Saturday and will include range work, confidence coaching and on-course coaching.
