Jeff Fisher named Top 25 Coach in USA

Across the country a big goal for junior golfers is to earn their way to college scholarships. This month Future Champions Golf honored those coaches who have had great success developing elite junior golfers into college players by awarding their inaugural Top 25 ELITE Junior Coaches in the USA award. Jeff Fisher, Director of Instruction at the Fisher Bryan Golf Academy at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona was not only chosen as one of the inaugural winners, but was also the only full time Arizona instructor to be named.

The winners were chosen from over 1000 resumes and in addition to Fisher included well known coaches such as Cameron McCormick (Jordan Speith’s coach), Gary Gilchrist, Cheryl Anderson and Tim Sheredy. A stellar selection committee was commissioned including LPGA players Kelli Keuhne and Mina Harigae, Golf Channel host Sara Brown, Callaway Golf VP Glenn Hickey, Golf MDs CEO Alex Webber, former PGA Tour player Dave Stockton Jr. and Titleist Performance Institute Co-Director Lance Gill. The awards were presented at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. The full list of winners can be found at www.futurechampionsgolf.com/25coach.

Fisher was recognized for having sent more than 50 students on to play college golf including NCAA and NJCAA National Players of the Year. His players have also won numerous college tournaments, conference championships and been named conference players of the year. Coaches across the country have used Fisher’s programming as a guide to help their own students.

This is the second honor for Fisher in January as he was also named the 2015 winner of the Southwest Section PGA Youth Player Development Award. These successes certainly make the Fisher Bryan Golf Academy and programs guided and designed by Jeff Fisher as the best road to college golf in Arizona.
