Inaugural Drive Out Domestic Violence Golf Tournament comes to Troon North Golf Club

The inaugural Drive Out Domestic Violence Golf Tournament – benefiting New Life Center – will take place May 11, 2018 at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. All proceeds from the event will go to New Life Center’s efforts to provide safety, shelter and critical services to women and children fleeing domestic violence.

Each year, New Life Center impacts more than 1,000 individuals through its emergency shelter program, mobile advocacy and community outreach efforts.

Sponsorship opportunities and individual entries are currently available.

“We’re thrilled to put on this golf tournament for such a worthy and noble cause,” said Geoffrey Harris, Drive Out Domestic Violence tournament chair. Harris is also a member of New Life Center’s Board of Directors.

“Programs at New Life Center help survivors of domestic violence achieve safety and rebuild their lives. We’re always looking to raise awareness and money to support our work,” said Harris.  “Together, we can create safer communities by helping one child and one family at a time overcome the trauma of abuse.” Nearly 70% of New Life Center’s shelter population is under the age of 15.

The four-person-scramble event will begin at 8:30 AM and will feature player gifts, on-course contests, an awards’ luncheon, silent auction and raffle. Cost to enter is $300/player. Players and sponsors may register online at www.NLCgolfevent.com.
