IronOaks in Chandler is made up of two interconnected neighborhoods – Ironwood and Oakwood – and is considered among the most desirable retirement destinations in the Valley thanks to its 45-holes of golf, diverse amenities and signature restaurant, Stone & Barrel, which opened in November 2016.

For the first time in some time, both IronOaks courses – Ironwood’s 18 holes and Oakwood’s 27 – are fully open for play. “Our Members have been so patient with hole closures and construction. We are so grateful and are thrilled to have them play through without those distractions,” says Eddy Renio, Director of Golf at IronOaks. Both courses are open to the public.

Playing from just under 4,000 yards at the forward tees to just over 5,100 from the rear, the newly renovated Ironwood Course features two par 5s, seven par 3s, and nine par 4s, making for a fast, yet rewarding round for players of all skill levels wanting to sharpen their game. The Ironwood Clubhouse is also home to Grill on the Green, the relaxing neighborhood “hang” that serves up quality bar-food favorites, lunch, dinner and beer, wine and cocktails.

The 27-hole Oakwood Course provides fast and fun play with its collection of three distinct Keith Foster course designs each offering three unique eighteen-hole experiences, the Palms, the Sonoran, and the Lakes. Each par-72 combination is certain to be a fun and fast day on the course.

The Lakes/Palms course rotation at Oakwood that plays 5,343 yards on the forward tees to 6,508 yards on the tournament tees, is a challenging combination that starts on the water-intensive Lakes course and moves to a park-like setting ending with a par 5, 502-yard hole near the Oakwood Golf shop.

The Palms/Sonoran rotations combines lush parkland and water features on the first nine, while the last nine holds are played on a more traditional link-style course. This course plays 5,138 yards from the forward tees, to 6,567 yards from the tournament tees.

With the final nine holes circling around eight water features, the Sonoran/Lakes rotation lives up to its name. Playing from 4,966 yards at the forward tees, to up 6,577 at the tournament tees, this course although challenging, is a good fit for different skill levels.

“Each course is designed differently and plays differently. I think that is appealing to many golfers. It is an enjoyable experience playing the different layouts on the same property,” explains IronOaks Golf Course Superintendent Ross Buckendahl.

For the entire summer, IronOaks golf is offering up three deals to keep you motivated on the course, even during those sweltering afternoons. Their Play & Eat special includes a $10 dining voucher with tee times booked between 12:30pm and 3:00pm and can be used for purchases at Grill on the Green or Stone & Barrel on the same day as play.

Early birds can start their day off right with their Nine & Breakfast special. Tee times between 6:00am and 6:45am receive a breakfast entrée voucher redeemable on day of play prior to 11am at Stone & Barrel.

And to top it, both Ironwood and Oakwood courses will be featuring $2 Beers (Budweiser and Bud Lights) on the refreshment cart all day, every day, from June through August.
