Experience Mountain Brook Golf Club for the first time

Mountain Brook Golf Club’s Hole #14 with Superstition Mountains in the background.

Mountain Brook Golf Club is under new ownership and has many exciting changes to announce. The new owners have added this course to their portfolio, which currently consists of Trilogy Golf Club at Power Ranch in Gilbert, Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club in Cave Creek and Geneva Golf Club in Alexandria, MN. Improvements will be noticed before you get out of your car, with a new bag drop location and an emphasis on customer service upon arrival and throughout your day at Mountain Brook Golf Club.

Managing Partner, Ryan Thompson places a premium on playing surfaces and customer service. The golf course has been overseeded wall-to-wall and despite some untimely rain and ping pong ball sized hail, the playing surfaces are very good.

Upon your arrival, you will appreciate the fully stocked golf shop with many new brands. In addition to the enhanced offering in the golf shop, the restaurant has been given a dramatic facelift and The Prospector will now offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. The expansive patio offers views of the Superstition Mountains. The finishes of raw wood, exposed brick, metal and camp lighting pay homage to the prospectors that lived and worked in the nearby Superstitions.

Since taking ownership in early August, Thompson has been very focused on improving the playing surfaces and the membership has noticed. Who doesn’t appreciate greens with great speed and a consistent roll? The putting surfaces this year are the best in many years according to one of the long-time members. Mountain Brook is home to a very unique feature that many people are unaware of, the 12 acre short game area designed by Phil Mickelson. The revitalized short game area will allow Mountain Brook to rival any practice area in the East Valley.

Mountain Brook Golf Club is tucked back against the foothills of the Superstition Mountains with subtle rolling fairways, well placed bunkers and occasional postage-stamp sized greens allows golfers of varying ability to be challenged as well as enjoy their day.

“Mountain Brook Golf Club has a great deal of character and charm,” says current member, Stephen B. He continues with, “It is a true hidden gem many golfers overlook, they are missing out!”
