Renowned PGA Professional Dick Hyland joins The Country Club at DC Ranch

The Country Club at DC Ranch has welcomed PGA Class A Professional Dick Hyland as the club’s head golf professional.

Hyland brings over 30 years of experience and numerous awards to The Country Club at DC Ranch and is recognized as one of the top performers in the golf business. Throughout his career, Hyland has participated in the design and start-up of 12 courses, implemented global planning for club operations, and has been recognized for his expertise of managing golf professionals, agronomy teams and retail personnel.

As a PGA Class A Professional, Hyland will serve as the head golf pro for The Country Club at DC Ranch and will oversee the employees, operations and daily business for the golf course, as well as teach lessons. Already one of Arizona’s premier golf courses, Hyland’s background in the golf industry will expand The Country Club at DC Ranch’s prominence in the golf community.

Hyland was instrumental in opening The Desert Mountain Club, where he helped facilitate receiving recognition for their operations, golf, agronomy, instruction and retail. His tenure included being promoted to President of Lyle Anderson Golf in 2002, where he was responsible for prestigious clubs and seven golf courses, including the award-winning Superstition Mountain Golf Club in Arizona, Hokulia Golf Club in Hawaii, Las Campanas in Santa Fe, N.M., Dundonald Links, and Loch Lomond Golf Club in Glasgow, Scotland.

For more than 15 years, Hyland coordinated Golf Digest and Nicklaus Flick golf schools, and was an instructor of PGA of American Business Schools and Teaching workshops. His many personal awards include PGA Professional of the Year in Florida and Arizona, the National PGA award winner for Merchandiser of the Year, and was a SWSPGA Bill Strausbaugh award winner for club and community relations. Hyland has lived in Arizona for more than 20 years, and currently resides in Pinnacle Peak with his wife and daughter.

The Country Club at DC Ranch has been a center point of the Scottsdale community for over 10 years and features one of the most well-maintained private golf courses in the Valley. The championship golf course, designed by the famed PGA pro and current PGA Senior Tour champ Tom Lehman and John Fought, offers a traditional golf experience wrapped in panoramic views of the Sonoran desert. The Country Club at DC Ranch’s staff of top golf professionals includes Director of Instruction Danny Edwards, a five-time winner on the PGA Tour.

In addition to expanding its team of professionals, the club recently introduced market-based pricing, an innovative pricing structure that offers memberships at prices set by current members looking to sell their memberships. Golf, sport social, clubhouse, single and junior memberships are available.
