Gary Pearce ran to raise money for Camp Soaring Eagle in Arizona

The Head Golf Professional at Sedona Golf Resort, Gary Pearce, ran in P.F. Chang’s marathon, which took place January 16th in Phoenix, for a great local cause. He was raising money for a local Sedona charitable organization called Camp Soaring Eagle. Pearce’s goal was to raise money for scholarships to eventually send fifty children to Camp Soaring Eagle.

Through a professional relationship that had developed between Pearce and Max James, the founder of Camp Soaring Eagle, Gary was struck by the Camp’s vision and Mr. James and his CSE staff’s pledge to providing children with serious and life threatening illnesses a special place where they can forget about their illnesses and just be kids in a medically safe environment. Currently there are over 350,000 children in the southwest living with fatal or life threatening diseases. Camp Soaring Eagle serves children from Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah, all completely free of charge to the campers and their families.
