Children fit right in at Estrella del Mar

Our third trip to Estrella del Mar was even more wonderful than expected. We’ve been visiting this paradise since our daughter became an international traveler at the age of 16 months, and each time exceeds the last. Yes, we worried on our first trip thinking this is a golf resort in Mexico and it is not geared towards children, but tell me how a child would not have fun with fabulous pristine pools, gold speckled beaches, ocean waves, baby sea turtles and golf cart rides to dinner. At age 3½, venturing from the pool to the ocean and a romp in the sand is the best adventure ever and provides great entertainment each day for the entire family.

This was our first stay in the hotel, previous two in the condos, and it is gorgeous. The wonderful staff has watched our daughter become a toddler. Amazingly, they always remember you making you feel like family!

The Delfines restaurant offers seating in the breezeway for libations, inside at the bar, and an elegant menu in the main dining room. The bar is not just for adults…they make incredible frothy chocolate milk! The poolside grill was excellent allowing us to eat nachos and hamburgers by the pool and having alcohol free strawberry daiquiris…specially made for our daughter. This is not your typical child based resort however it has more excitement than any one visit can experience, as well as tranquility for the adults. Every turn the staff is there willing to accommodate you and your children, from altering the menu to creating a special meal your child will actually eat, even cutting a fresh coconut with a straw provided for a tropical experience, (however not the coconut your child discovers on the golf course which wouldn’t be good, we learned)!

Our family, young and old, has had plenty of adventures and entertainment for the best of memories, which beckon us to return again and again. I can’t wait for trip number four and neither can our daughter!

Thoughts on Condominiums and Home Site purchases at Estrella del Mar

While on my third visit to Estrella del Mar, I decided to look into purchasing a condominium on the property. My family and I have grown to cherish our time at Resort, so much so that we have made it an annual retreat each fall. After viewing the new condominiums available, I was pleased by the quality of construction, beauty and comfort of the amenities and the floor plan options. There are currently three buildings or phases of condos on the resort; the most recent is phase three. This phase has a number of new units available, some completely finished and move in ready, others with incomplete interiors so you may choose your granite, cabinets and fixtures. Multiple floor plans are available including two, three and four plus bedrooms. All units have beautiful views of the pool and Pacific Ocean. Each phase is meticulously maintained both inside and out and offers many services making ownership worry free including regular cleaning, maintenance and monthly bill pay options for electricity, phones, etc. Home sites are also available on or off the golf course.

I decided a condo was the best fit for me and sat down with Heather Anders and Ray Germani in the Real Estate Sales Department. They were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the properties and options available and explained the process for purchasing a condo step by step. I was also introduced to several other property owners. A thirty percent down payment is required with several payment options available. Estrella del Mar has multiple financing options including a recommended mortgage provider who specializes in Mexican properties for foreign nationals. Each of the buildings has their own HOA with reasonable annual dues. Property taxes in Mexico are very reasonable, as well. Based on all of this information, all of the resort and property amenities, the low pressure, professional sales team and the great financing percentage rates available, my only decision now is which one of these beautiful condos I want to make an offer on to continue with the purchasing process!
