SunRidge Canyon launches new operation headed by Chef Rudy Zamora

New chef, new menus, new facilities and live entertainment

SunRidge Canyon Golf Club announced the launch of a new food & beverage operation at the club’s Wicked Six Grill. Spearheaded by recently appointed Executive Chef, Rudy Zamora, the Wicked Six Grill features completely new menus for breakfast and lunch, along with the new Sundown menu for early evening enjoyment. In addition to the dining experiences on the upper patio and the main dining room, the club constructed a warming fire pit and outdoor bar on the lower level of the patio. Dubbed the Players Pit, the new space offers guests a casual location— complete with old-school rocking chairs and HD TVs—to socialize with family and friends while taking in Arizona’s unique outdoor lifestyle. For example, the Players Pit hosts live performances by Sage Gentle-Wing on Friday evenings, Jared Blackstone on Wednesday evenings, and the club hosted Jazz in the Hills: upcoming concerts:  (see online calendar).

“We’re very excited to welcome guests to the new Wicked Six Grill,” said Jeff Lessig, General Manager of SunRidge Canyon Golf Club.  “The idea was to take the cuisine up a notch or two, and chef has certainly accomplished that.  Also, we wanted to build a place for guests to relax, hang out and enjoy the wonderful Sonoran Desert that surrounds us. The views of Four Peaks during sunset are spectacular, something you can only see on this side of the McDowells.”

The name — Wicked Six Grill — is derived from the last six holes on the golf course which are generally considered among the most challenging half-dozen holes in the Valley of the Sun. The new menus reflect American favorites with a Southwestern flair.
