Big 10 Conference holds 32nd annual charity golf tournament for Make-A-Wish Foundation

The Big Ten Golf Classic will hold a charity golf tournament on Saturday, May 10, 2014 to raise funds for Phoenix Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the B1G Ten Scholarship Fund. A full field of 144 golfers will tee-off at 1:30 PM at beautiful Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ. Title sponsors are still needed to contribute to the event.

Representatives from all twelve B1G Ten schools are currently working together on the planning and fundraising for the event. This year’s event promises to be a fun day of golf and B1G Ten camaraderie for all who participate. Last year’s event raised over $12,000 for scholarships and local charities! With your help we hope to make another generous donation this year.

The tournament format is a modified scramble where the best drive is chosen and players play their own ball into the hole. Top scores are combined for a team score with the winning team getting a trophy, bragging rights and scholarship funds to send local students to their university. Space is limited to the first 12 players per school, so be sure to sign up early.

The registration fee of $175 includes: golf, cart, practice balls, yardage guide, divot repair tool, custom engraved metal bag tag, B1G 10 golf shirt, buffet dinner.

Evening festivities are open to guests who wish to join in the fun for $30 per person. The buffet dinner is slated to begin at 6 PM along with a silent auction, raffle, awards presentation and cash bar.
