OB Sports appoints new Food and Beverage Manager for City of Tucson golf clubs

Tom Meade takes over f&b for Randolph, Dell Urich, El Rio, Fred Enke and Silverbell Golf Courses

OB Sports Golf Management recently announced the appointment of Tom Meade as the new Food and Beverage Manager for the five City of Tucson golf courses under its management. He is responsible for all aspects of each facility’s food and beverage operation including on-course service, bar and grill outlets as well as special-event services for weddings, group golf events, corporate functions and other gatherings.

“We are delighted to have Tom join the City of Tucson team,” said Wade Dunagan, Director of Operations for Randolph Park Golf Complex. “His years of real-world experience and professionalism will bring our food & beverage options to a new level.”

A Long Island, New York native, Meade grew up with the game of golf as a caddie at Bethpage State Park before working in the clubhouse through his high school years. Over the year, he has gained experience with many positions in the restaurant industry including dishwasher, prep cook, busser, server, bartender and management.

In addition to stints at various restaurant chains including Black Angus and Damons Ribs, his first food and beverage-related position in the golf business was with Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort. Meade also helped open what was then called The Raven Golf Club at Sabino Springs in 1994 and Heritage Highlands at Dove Mountain in 1997, both in Tucson. And for the last 15 years, Meade was the food and beverage director for The Gallery Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, AZ. Meade earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix 1991.
